Subject: A Citizen's Demand for Property Purchase due to
Airport Generated Noise Pollution

Executive Director,

You are the director of the Reno/Tahoe Airport. As such, you are responsible for the adverse affects its operations are having on citizens who live near the airport. I am one of those adversely affected citizens.

1. I have purchased and calibrated my own noise measuring device and have found the noise at my home to be of the same magnitude, and even louder, than in areas where you have purchased and/or insulated homes. A very small list of typical noise complaints accompanies this demand letter.
2. You have no viable noise mitigation procedures at your airport,
3. You have championed and allowed uncontrolled growth in the inordinately large amount of takeoffs that are causing severe noise pollution and endangering Reno citizens' lives,
4. You have access to FAA "Noise Money" for purchasing and insulating citizens' homes and have done so in the past. (As a matter of fact, currently you reportedly have many $$$millions in your FAA-funded coffers.)

For these, and many other reasons, I am demanding again that you give me the same consideration that you have given to other noise-affected citizens of Reno, Nevada.

Therefore, you should consider this letter to be a demand for correction of the intolerable conditions that you and your policies have created. In my instance, you have two choices:
a. Either purchase my home under the same financial conditions that you have purchased homes in Rewana Farms and other areas of Reno, Nevada, or...
b. Insulate my home to help protect it somewhat against the airport generated noise pollution.

Your prompt attention to, and correction of, this problem is anticipated.
