RENO IS BEING ATTACKED BY A DIFFERENT KIND OF “PANDEMIC”!

There is another Pandemic lurking throughout Reno. It arrived at about the same time as Coronavirus.

And while it may not be as debilitating, it is nevertheless brutal... and debased.
The main difference is that this Pandemic can be cured! Easily with some courageous Leadership. What is it?
IT IS A “GUERILLA WARFARE” BEING WAGED AGAINST EVERY CITIZEN OF RENO.
IT USES NOISE AS WEAPON TO MAKE RENO A HOSTAGE.

Note 1: In normal times Sam would be delivering this Anti-Noise Report in person with my vociferous
voice at Reno Government podiums. But the Reno government has basically been shut down to citizen participation. [Don't say Zoom.]
Note 2: I was going to review the tone of this Draft Report. But after seeing AND HEARING more and more
days and nights of flagrant premeditated noisy dangerous attacks upon the populace of Reno, I’m not changing it.

To: All Who Should Be Concerned - including Lieut. Shaw (Reno Police - Traffic), Jason Soto (Reno Police Chief),
Hillary Schieve (Reno Mayor), Paul Ellison (Reno Engineering), and more.
Reno authorities have got to stop the chaotic cacophony of this catastrophic noise invasion.
1. Outrageous people are encroaching upon our city with the scourge of an ever-increasing
ear-splitting Pandemic of cars and motorcycles; with obscenely loud engines and sound-warping muffler
paraphernalia that are outlawed. It is a blatant form of Assault and Battery.
(Assault [the treat of the noise coming] and Battery [the actual arrival of the ear splitting noise])
This type of activity is specifically outlawed for the protection of all citizens!
2. 98% of the people hate what is being done against Reno.
3. These culprits are driving with dangerously aggressive in-your faces, road-rage,
and wanton law-breaking abandon. With total disregard for the Law and the well-being of Reno.
4. Hopefully this Report is getting your attention as we shout out for you to save our city;
that you swore to defend and protect!
5. This can (and must) be defeated with (at the very least) a two pronged attack:
a. Official Daily Orders should be given to Law Enforcement personnel to use all
resources to track down and crack down on the Violators.
b. A full scale media blitz by Government, TV, Radio, newspaper, internet, etc, etc must be initiated to get
the word out to these perfidious perpetrators (and the innocent public) that Reno is serious about protecting
its citizens from this vandalism and noise blight infestation.
THE LAW-BREAKERS MUST BE MADE TO KNOW THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
TO CONTINUE THEIR MOLESTATION OF RENO AND ITS CITIZENS. .
7. If it sounds like the citizens of Reno are outraged. It’s because we are!
We look forward to the Peace and Quiet we deserve.

PS - There are myriad places for Law Enforcement to track these people down... and talk/order sense into them.
PSS - Maybe some of these people are respectable citizens who adore their cars.
But that does not give them the right to attack Reno. So: “Obey the Law and show respect!”
